I only today realized that you started making “Personal Blog” posts a while back, which means they weren’t showing up on the front page. I thought you were taking a long hiatus from blogging. So I totally missed when things went from “kind of bad but getting better” to “nope, nope, nope, this is the worst it has ever been”. Sigh.
Technically everything starts as Personal Blog and then gets migrated. LW decided time-sensitive posts are never front page, so you never saw anything in the series.
(I do think I had a few front-page things during this period, mainly the Simulacra posts)
I’m not sure how it worked before, but I saw your posts reliably on the main page (up until about 1.5 months ago). I’m talking to habryka about it here.
I think we had a bug for a bit, something like a month ago, that caused some users to have a reset to their frontpage filters when they edited their account in some specific ways. Not super many users were affected, which is why we didn’t make a big announcement about it, but given your experience, my guess is that your filters were probably reset sometime around that time. Super sorry about that.
I’d very much like to read about bugs, or other changes, even if they don’t warrant a big announcement. Maybe the team could post on the site itself, with a special tag that can be followed separately (if you don’t want to include them in the ‘all posts’ feed).
But your feedback is well-taken. We have kind of slacked off in updating people on a bunch of the changes we’ve been making. Maybe we want to start our monthly dev-updates series again.
Please heavily weight your own time and effort in your considerations about how to publish the updates. I’m a little sad that you described it as having “slacked off”. The dev-update you linked to looks like it must have taken a good while to create!
I was following the GitHub project directly for a good while and that was a great way to follow your activity. And it’s impressive! You all are killing it! Thanks again!

Thanks for your help keeping this site running!
We do have an issue tracker, though I won’t claim that it has all of the bugs we notice on it:

Thank you! :)
Ah ok, no worries. Mostly I’m just happy that Zvi is actually still posting. :D
