The point is that “I don’t know” is still a lawful state of knowledge, you’re not allowing to make stuff up even if you “don’t know”, and in fact quite often you do know something.
I think the point is that there’s isn’t a special case of ‘no knowledge’, there’s almost always some knowledge and even the case of least knowledge isn’t a special magical category.
“It’s not that I don’t know. I’m using an ignorance prior.” I find this very silly.
