Unless I’m missing something, this commits the minimizing-the-loss-function-is-the-goal-of-the-system fallacy. In this paradigm, humans are actually trying to have as many children as possible, and only that.
Sure, it might look like they have thoughts, or internal states, or dispositions, or even feelings, but if you know how the human brain came to be, it’s clear it’s just trying to maximize the number of its children. It doesn’t really think.
Since this is what this paradigm has to say about humans, can we finally all agree that it’s wrong?
