They put an additional value of 5.5 into the top half of the chart (see it on the left-hand side). The problem is they made it just as far away from 5 as 4 is, so it visually gives Biden’s numbers a whole extra percentile gain relative to the other years on the chart.

Look at ALL the numbers on the y-axis—read the whole axis bottom to top.
