IQ as often measured is made up of both fluid and crystallized intelligence, and you can certainly raise your crystallized intelligence. (I find learning pretty much anything to be easier now than I found it ten years back, probably due to me now having more background knowledge to draw on and connect things with.) Yes, but that’s not interesting. What’s interesting is whether developing a work ethic works for older people, i.e. whether you can raise conscientiousness. And that’s a completely different issue.
