Oh wow, I totally misread Lauryn. I thought they were saying it’s mildly rational to take anecdotes as evidence from someone who was on “the site”, as in at the site of the spooky house. Like a general listens to a scout who has just surveyed some terrain and doesn’t say, “Haha, your mission was pointless! This report is nothing but worthless anecdotes! Come back when you have a decent effect size!”
