I don’t remember it being phrased in that way but I certainly had it on my list of What You See Before The End and seeing Go fall when it did definitely made me far more worried, although much less more worried than a lot of other people I’ve talked to. It certainly was one of the big ‘this won’t happen soon’ predictions and it happened faster than people expected, which of course is what you’d expect if advances follow Poisson-style distributions where Go doesn’t look closer to being solved until it is suddenly solved.
