Would it be worthwhile for us to create societal simulation software to look into how preferences can change given technological change and social interactions? (knew more, grew up together) One goal would be to clarify terms like spread,muddle,distance, and convergence.
Another (funner) goal would be to watch imaginary alternate histories and futures (given guesses about potential technologies)
Goals would not include building any detailed model of human preferences or intelligence.
I think we would find some general patterns that might also apply to more complex simulations.
