I tend to offer books, and usually books that I liked which are the kind of things that my friends and family would want to read if they explored into that direction. But I also think that some exploration never works. For example, my mother absolutely refuses to read SF. If I buy her an SF book, it’s a complete waste because she will never open it.
So even when exploring for other, I do think that having a little anchor in what they like is important. Would you agree?
