Do we have any way of reasonably predicting the social effects of curing unrequited love? What if it’s serving some behavioral or mating function that’s critical to the social order?
I don’t think it’s appropriate to casually mess with complex systems like human mating, getting rid of something as widespread as unrequited love because it’s uncomfortable. That seems dangerous, and it seems like caution is the correct approach with systems that broad.
