And this Effective Altruism looks similar to me.. If one wants “to do good” for others, he should invest his money wisely. He should employ people, he should establish new businesses with those less fortunate people.
You’re implying that “doing good” effectively couldn’t be of investing, employing or establishing businesses. It’s independent of a method as long as it is effective in the context of effective altruistic actions. It makes no difference as long as it’s the most effective with positive expected value.
