i’m implying that evil is waste. to properly define waste, we’d need to align on life not being simply a biological status but an attribute.

i really think it’s about what happens when you mute words or reduce them. the right and diversity was an example. i don’t think either the left or right understand diversity in the ashby sense
definitely not a conservative! i don’t think the piece had anything really to do with politics, that was just the surrogate of a broader phenomena (which is that of ontological tricks) but i appreciate the kind words!
imagine you’re playing a game where some rules encoded in words are so special that no one is allowed to touch or change them. these special rules have special properties, so no one questions them. the devil, in this case, is like a sneaky player who hides behind those rules, using them to confuse everyone else. they create a trap by making things so complicated that people can’t figure out what’s really going on. this makes it harder to escape or solve the problem, because the rules are off limits.
