I have heard somewhere that even if humanity were to expand at close to the speed of light we would never be able to reach more than 50 of our closest galaxies in the local group because of the increasing expansion of space, anything that is not gravitationally bound will be inaccessible to us. I don’t have sources for this but if this is true then according to this model the changes of us meeting another civ is very small right?
