It didn’t occur to me that LessWrong is “an online community for people who want to apply the discovery of biases like the conjunction fallacy, the affect heuristic, and scope insensitivity in order to fix their own thinking.” I thought this is a community for people who “apply the discovery of biases and, hence, their thinking is not broken”.
I didn’t notice “Less Wrong users aim to develop accurate predictive models of the world, and change their mind when they find evidence disconfirming those models”. I thought LessWrong users actually do that instead of aiming to do that.
I didn’t understand this is a low self-esteem support group for people who want to live up to preconceived notions of morality. I probably don’t have anything to do here. Goodbye.
