I’m not sure why it’s showing up as GMT −7, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to alter the time zone—the only controls are for setting the local time of the meetup. So yes, to any attendees, this is at 6 PM at the time local to Ft Lauderdale.
Thanks to some quick karma (apparently 2 is the minimum for adding meetups), I was able to post next week’s meetup for our group:
http://lesswrong.com/meetups/91
I also figured out the time zone issue: Apparently the system pulls from your local (computer’s set) timezone. I would see that as an unintentional bug due to the side effect of the general intended submission process.
Without getting too off-topic, where can I report that issue? Is there a Bugzilla/issue tracker for this sort of thing, or is it a byproduct of the Reddit CMS?
Thanks! One minor issue: the time zone is EDT, which is GMT-4 current, not −7 as listed.
(also, it is spelled “Grant” Abraham. :P)
Ah! Thanks for the correction on your name :)

Great to hear about the karma, and thanks for letting me know what the requirement seems to be.
As for the time zone issue, it looks like the best place is probably the “Report Issues” link on the page footer.
