I’m probably missing the main point here, but as I see it, Moloch is still the issue. More technology won’t save anyone, “more is better” is a very naive view. There’s coordination issues around technology, it’s being used incorrectly, and this is the main reason why so few are saved by it.

Seems like a contradiction. Technology is sterile and lifeless (assuming that game of life isn’t alive just because it’s moving). Make it autonomous, and it will be something lifeless with a higher darwinian fitness than you, which is why it will replace humanity.
If the main point is “Don’t personalize vague concepts” or something, then the main message is probably unharmed by my nitpicking. I just believe that naive optimism about technology is highly dangerous.
