Am I reading too much into this quote when I think it’s referring to not crushing people’s beliefs when they’re incapable of surviving the damage to their Self?
When I look at that (out of context, as I have not read the source) I’m seeing that without breakfast (a sturdy base to build upon) the character is not ready to have their beliefs destroyed.
