I think the idea is that if you write {A|B} then it has a meaning that is a combination of the meaning of A and the meaning of B.
I just never actually see A|B above, only the A and B. Am I misreading something? I’ll note that the first example seems to me to have a different form: it’s the only one which doesn’t have an explanation of the relation between A and B at the end.
