The QM sequence has a number of excellent teaching points, like the discussion of how we can be sure that all electrons are identical, but the idea that one can disagree with experts in a subject matter without first studying the subject matter in depth is probably the most irrational, contagious and damaging idea in all of the sequences.
Example followed. That is, this utterance is poor form and ironic. This charge applies far more to the parent than the grandparent. Advocacy of deference to social status rather than and despite of evidence of competence (or the lack thereof) is the most irrational, contagious and damaging idea that appears on this site.
