People who proclaim that there is something very special about “human conscious experience” or “sentience”, are mostly just revealing how bad they are at deploying value-attributing empathy when they try to understand a world brimming with differently configured optimization processes. (35%, but I think of this as a high estimate given how many burdensome details are in the theory and the base rate for confusion about “consciousness”.)
