Suffice it to say that, while you make good points, I stand by my assessment that things are more hopeful for electoral reform in the US some time in the next decade, than they have been in my 25 years of engagement with the issue. That doesn’t mean hopes are very high in an absolute sense, but they’re high enough to be noticeably higher.
