Some of the largest genomic datasets today are not in the public domain. If you believe genomic datasets in public domain should exist, you can volunteer your own personal data to it.
Examples of datasets that are not in public domain as of today (2025-03-06):
- Academic: UK Biobank (500,000 samples), All of Us by NIH (250,000 samples)
- Commercial: AncestryDNA (25 million samples), 23andMe (14 million samples)
