As an actor in the cosmos it is imperative to understand the most important and general knowledge and to organise this knowledge in a systematic and refined way. That is what I’ve endeavoured to achieve in my document I present to less wrong I call “WAK11” which presents my vision for science and especially philosophy. An important distinction of knowledge is of ‘philosophy’ and ‘science’ in which philosophy deals with foundational and general knowledge while science attempts to describe specific and particular details. Although science is generally considered to relate to phenomena of the universe it also relates to things a cosmic actor (an actor in the cosmos) would find relevant; the cosmic actor first assesses the situation its in (and phenomena of the situation), thinks, and then does. In these stages of actions a cosmic actor does, there can be associated knowledge to each stage in which in assessing the situation and phenomena of the universe there is situational knowledge of ‘phenomenal philosophy’ (e.g. metaphysics) and ‘phenomenal science’ (e.g. natural sciences) which describes phenomena, there is knowledge of thinking such as ‘thought philosophy’ (e.g. epistemology) and ‘thought science’ (e.g. mathematics where mathematics can be used to think about and describe things such as statistics describing a population), and there is knowledge of doing such as ‘action philosophy’ (e.g. ethics) and ‘action science’ (e.g. applied sciences).
Along with these fields of knowledge a cosmic actor would endeavour to understand, understanding can be made in a technique I call ‘frameworks’ which is the primary main way I represent knowledge. I’ve described how my technique of frameworks work in my document WAK11.
Outline of my philosophy
Philosophy in my view is somewhat neglected compared to science in spite of its foundational and general applicability in which I present an outline of my vision for philosophy
Phenomenal philosophy
Phenomena can firstly be understood to be external to the self in the ‘environment’ or internal to the self in the ‘self’
Environment phenomena
I have two main theories regarding phenomena that are present in the environment which are ‘structure selection’ and ‘cosmos specifics’. Cosmos specifics, which describes the details of how the cosmos works, is less readily understandable than structure selection and some may find it controversial as it’s at odds with evidence based physics so I’ll only discuss structure selection in this post. Structure selection, or ‘SS’ as I commonly refer to it is founded in the ‘SS principle’ which states: the world is populated by stable structures with unstable structures being eliminated in deselection and stable structures remaining preserved in selection i.e. ‘survival of the stable’ or ‘collecting of the stable’. The SS principle can be related to things which ‘settle’ into stable states in which upon the changing of a situation initially things are unstable and chaotic but then ultimately settle down. These ideas of the survival of the stable relate to universal Darwinism in which a few others have realised the importance of Darwinistic processes applying to everything in which Daniel Dennett has called universal Darwinism a ‘universal acid’ given it applies to everything. A vast range of things can be described to settle down over time in which the SS principle of the survival of the stable can apply to various phenomena such as atomic nuclides having stability which exist primarily on the belt of stability, thermodynamics with matter evolving towards stable states at thermodynamic equilibrium, the orbits of the planets in our solar system have come to a stable state, leaves in windy courtyard settling in stable configurations in nooks and crannies out of the way of the wind, species settling into stable selected configurations of fit adaptations, and artificial structures settling into stable efficient configurations collecting due to humans with humans selecting the world to their demands and to be stable to them.
Another important topic of structure selection is the concept of adaptability in which structures which tolerate a wide variety of situations and remain selected display with adaptability and deal with many situations. Adaptable matter takes on the form of what I call ‘agencies’ that can react to their environment in order to remain selected to obstacles to selection. Examples of agencies can be cells that react to their cellular environment in order to remain selected in a variety of situations, nervous systems that react via sensors and muscles to remain selected and surviving in a variety of situations, and AI which can react and adapt to situations. The way agencies react is via first being affected by situations (in ‘intraselection’) and then effecting situations (in ‘extraselection’). As matter which can remain selected and surviving in a variety of situations is stable, agencies are a natural consequence of matter being adaptable and as such a large range of structures are adaptable as agencies in which agencies describe all of Earth’s complex structures in natural cellular systems, artificial human systems (of nervous systems), and in the future AI systems. Structure selection as well as cosmos specifics are much more detailed in WAK11 and organises quite a lot of knowledge.
Self phenomena
Along with environment phenomena, there is self phenomena which I’ve documented its workings in WAK11 under the section ‘self principles’. Given the self is an agency that reacts to the environment, terminology and ideas of how agencies in structure selection work can apply to self principles.
Thought philosophy
After assessing the situation in phenomenal philosophy, a cosmic actor then thinks in which thought philosophy covers how the actor thinks. Thought philosophy can firstly have ‘principles of thought’ and with principles of thought being determined, ‘areas of thought’ can use these principles. Principles of thought has four important ideas which are ‘reality comprehensibility’, ‘thought theory’, ‘reasoning principles’, and ‘knowledge principles’. ‘Reality comprehensibility’ defines the situation of thought in which reality is comprehensible and explanations about it are logical. ‘Thought theory’ describes how thought works such as thought occurring in philosophy and science as well as actor knowledge of assessing situations knowledge (e.g. phenomenal philosophy), thinking knowledge (e.g. thought philosophy), and doing knowledge (e.g. action philosophy). ‘Reasoning principles’ describes how reasoning can be conducted with principles e.g. using Bayesian epistemology where degrees of belief (credences) directs reasoning towards more probable ideas. ‘Knowledge principles’ describes how knowledge can be understood with principles e.g. with elements of knowledge and knowledge representation such as in propositions and my technique of frameworks. With principles of thought, areas of thought uses these principles in which areas of thought can either be logical as in what I call ‘logical description’ where things can be described and thought about using logic and thought can also be mathematical as in what I call ‘mathematical description’ where things can be described and thought about using mathematics. My explanations of thought philosophy are much more detailed in WAK11 and organises quite a lot of knowledge.
Action philosophy
After thinking, a cosmic actor then does in which action philosophy covers how the actor does. Action philosophy can firstly have ‘principles of action’ and with principles of action being determined, ‘areas of action’ can use these principles. Principles of action has four important ideas which are ‘the cosmic actor perspective’, ‘action theory’, ‘prioritised action’, and ‘cosmic situation’. ‘The cosmic actor perspective’ defines the situation of action in which we are fundamentally actors in the cosmos which think and act based on cosmic situations and what we value in priorities. ‘Action theory’ describes how action works such as in actions given complex situations and consequences of actions e.g. unintended consequences. ‘Prioritised action’ describes how actions can occur given priorities (i.e. needs) and result in ethics where some actions are better than others based in priorities and needs of the actor. ‘Cosmic situation’ describes how situations work in which you are fundamentally an actor in the cosmos so it’s best to consider the whole cosmos e.g. whether there is a god or not or if you live in a simulation. With principles of action, areas of action uses these principles in which areas of action include the general actions of thinking and doing which can have principles e.g. techniques of thought or action, action can occur given priorities, and problems can be managed with problems having techniques for their resolution. My explanations of action philosophy are much more detailed in WAK11 and organises quite a lot of knowledge.
Review of my ideas
As philosophy is very important given it’s foundational to all knowledge, my new vision of philosophy should be very important. What differentiates my vision of philosophy from some others is that it utilises my techniques of frameworks which allows for the good understanding and organisation of knowledge in which WAK11 is primarily written using frameworks. With WAK11 going into much detail of my ideas, in which I’ve only covered a small fraction of the totality of my ideas of WAK11 in the above outline of my ideas, in my opinion both my knowledge and techniques will lead to a revolution in philosophy and science.
I present to the world WAK11, my magnum opus of a decade of work which determines all my ideas and details a new system of philosophy as well as some of science. Here is the link to WAK11 as well as my socials:
