I liked that downvote. I’m only 1k karmapoints short of getting into the sidebar, so maybe I should rig a few polls—are kittens cute, is evolution true etc. ;-p
You shouldn’t have made the comment announcing the poll double as one of the poll options. Now if this option gets voted down sufficiently far, it will be invisible to anyone who’s not sufficiently curious to click the “show” button.
You’re wrong. That baby is way cuter than the bunny.
For people with cutoffs for low karma comments: Poll on relative cuteness of babies and bunnies—karma balance.
problem with the poll: the karma changes have left me several hundred karma points in the red to downvote anything.
That is a problem—indicate your opinion in a comment, and we’ll hand-count it.
This suggests a poll!
Vote this comment up if the baby is cuter than the bunny, and down contrariwise. Karma balance below.
Karma balance to baby-vs-bunny poll.
Another problem with polling this way is that we can’t tell how many people voted.
The proper way is to have two comments: Vote up if bunnies are cuter. Vote down if babies are cuter.
You karma whore positive karma if your predictions as for which option would be more popular turn out to be true.
Awesome poll + prediction market in karma—what not to like?
People wouldn’t vote honestly if they thought their votes were tied to someone’s karma.
Three comments: upvote-for-bunnies, upvote-for-babies, karma-balance. You only upvote one of the first two, so you only need one balance.
Do people care about karma that much?
People who care enough to rig a poll to give them expected karma probably also care enough to be sensitive to the tactic.

That occurred to me about two votes in. With a bit of luck...
