Do you think “hm, that’s weird” and keep looking for a subreddit to submit your link in, or do you think “oh wow, karma feast!”
Third option: turn the subreddit’s style off (if you have RES), or subscribe yourself and see what happens to the number to discover what they’ve been doing.
