The Checklist Manifesto is very interesting about what goes into an excellent checklist rather than a casually constructed checklist. It’s about institutional checklists rather than personal checklists, though.

It’s easy to make a checklist by going to Google docs / Google drive, clicking “create”, and choosing “form”.
