Huh, weird. My comment isn’t all italicized, even though others before it and after it are. Perhaps because there are actual italics in it? Or maybe it all looks this way only to me and no one else is seeing the spurious italics?
[EDITED to add:] I reloaded the page and then my comments were italicized like everyone else’s. I seem to recall that there’s some quirk of the way formatting is done on LW2 that means that just-posted comments are processed slightly differently from older ones, or something; perhaps that’s responsible.
[EDITED again to add:] All seems to be fixed now. Thanks to Jacob and/or the site admins.
One of the draft-js plugins we use appears to have some bugs related to links that are formatted, and sometimes doesn’t properly close the HTML-styling tag for stuff like italics, in the middle of a link. For other authors: If you see some weird formatting in your post, it’s probably because you applied some styling in the middle of a link. Removing it for now will fix it, I should really get around to submitting a PR that fixes this systematically.
… Those two comments of mine have both been downvoted at least once. If there’s someone reading this who genuinely thinks that pointing out formatting screwage makes the world worse, I would (absolutely sincerely) love to understand why.

Sorry for that! I fixed it for Jacob.

(It’s happening again, starting in your “The things you quote” comment.)
