No doubt, but what’s important isn’t so much the people who don’t do much (and I don’t think there’s any superiority from reading ordinary stuff vs. watching ordinary stuff), as the people who could be doing something interesting or important but are blocked because of lack of literacy.
There are plenty of people who know perfectly well how to read but can’t be arsed to, so long as they can eat everyday and watch TV on their couch.
