This is a great post, very inspiring for my own work. I’ve been working for years now practicing the art of “studying how to study.” Unlike Matuschak, who’s doing some great work on externalized interventions, like note-taking, I’m focused on mental interventions, like memory palaces. I’ve been trying to scrape training data for other people’s consumption (thanks for the language to describe it!) by writing up my mental experiences after the fact. Sometimes, this seems to work. I wonder if at some point I should start livestreaming my study sessions.
