While the word boredom as you seem to use it is a very practical and complex emotion. I can’t disagree with your model but I don’t think it captures what people feel is boring now or what would be boring in the future. I think a good counterpoint is the one by Yoav, that you can just go to sleep until something new comes up. Something that is not possible if your time is limited, to begin with.
