I don’t think we have open threads any more now that there’s a Discussion section.
Some stuff is just too trivial for a discussion post, but is sufficiently on-topic to post at all. January’s got 40 comments.
Indeed, this whole set of comments (which constitute most of the open thread as of now) would not belong anywhere else!
There have been a few open threads in the discussion section- the concern was that some subjects were too minor to deserve separate discussion posts.
