The basic idea of getting hip mobility seems sound, but I recommend Scott Sonnon’s Ageless Mobility and IntuFlow, and the The Five Tibetan Rites—sorry for the cheesy name on the latter, but they’re a cross between yoga and calisthenics with a lot of emphasis on getting backwards/forwards pelvis mobility.
