I’m in a new friendship with a married woman who has admitted to me she wishes she had more friends, but due to busyness/lifestyle and marriage dynamics that limit how much she interacts with members of the opposite sex, she probably can’t be the one to initiate that often. I used to resent the fact that I had to make most of the contact, but she seems to genuinely enjoy my company, I feel connected to her, and she’s otherwise a good person. So now I decided I’m going to be the one to keep the friendship alive and keep developing it as well.
