The expected cost of not pressing the button is… well, nothing. You already exist. Unless you value being annoyed by Bob, I fail to see why you would press the button.
I suppose you could say the cost is “Not seeing Omega’s Bob-making machine in action.” but I don’t think that’s supposed to be a part of the problem. (Actually, if Omega dropped off a machine that created people from thin air, examining the workings of that machine in detail would FAR outweigh any disutility Bob might impose from just being annoying, from where I stand.)
