Of course, this is a terrible password selection strategy. 19 times out of 20, your password will be the very first one the attacker tries, if they know your strategy.
The number of times doesn’t seem like it’d be relevant in practice. The amount of time, does.

1) Even the most basic dictionary attack (which will include the word “password”).

2) A list of simple/common passwords.
Perhaps controversially, I think this is a bad selection scheme even if you replace “password” with any other string.
