Hrmm, this makes me think about the Rationalist equivalent of the Bible.
We’d have the Rationalist Old Testament, which chronicles the invention of the scientific method and some of its many successes, like relativity and computers and evolutionary biology. This is obviously the longer of the testaments, in order for its larger subject matter. We learn about many of the facts and rules. This is the basis of the religion “science.”
Then there’s the New Testament. People stand up and say, “Hey, this isn’t quite right. What matters isn’t only the world, but how you think.” And so the new religion of “Rationality” is formed. New insight is given into the actual meanings of the science, and how to change yourself. Let’s have some rationality textbooks as the gospels, Eliezer writings as Paul’s epistles, various other writers as the other epistles. Maybe some Ray Kurzweil as Revelations?
