Clarification: ‘Don’t win’ is intended to mean ‘lose’ thus a negative effect of rationality. If you think that rationality has no effect or is neutral with regard to winning, then please choose the middle option.
I wish more surveys had such clarifications. I can never tell whether “Strongly disagree” with “X should be more than Y” means “I strongly believe X should be less than Y”, “I strongly believe X should be about the same as Y”, or “I strongly believe it doesn’t matter whether X is more or less than Y” (and, as a result, what I should pick if my opinion is one of the latter two).
