But you could also say it removes any penalty for making criticism, which incentivizes strategic harassment. And trying to enforce social norms seems especially to me to be something that shouldn’t be done anonymously—norms should be enforced by people with some standing, to avoid unstable norms; and a person speaking out for a true group norm should feel less need to be anonymous.
