We tried to at least correct people not reading the sequence with reruns. It didn’t exactly work.
I also didn’t like how they fragmented the commentary. Many found that a feature rather than a bug. I found it plain annoying when reading an old article I had to do a search to see if there was any recent discussion in the rerun threads too.
I mean surely eventually some of the things we wrote back in 2007 or 2009 will turn out to have been plain wrong, obsolete or incomplete right? It would be neat to see that noted at least in their comment section.
Many people read through the sequences much like they would a textbook. We practically encourage them to do so. New well written comments to old article might be very useful.
