ADDED: Downvoting this is saying, “This is not a problem”. And yet, most of those giving their reasons for downvoting have no arguments against the math.
A major problem with simple voting systems like that used on LW is that people impute meanings to voters more confidently than they should. I’ve seen this several times here.
If people give a reason for downvoting, they’re probably not being deceptive and may even be right about their motives, but most who vote will not explain why in a comment and you’re overstepping the bounds of what you can reasonably infer about the individuals who vote without commenting by generalizing from some statements by a few who comment.

(Standard LW site mechanics still apply, of course. If this post gets enough downvotes, it will be hidden to many users who otherwise would have seen it. If you want to spread the meme expressed in the post, downvoting it into oblivion has certain obvious negative consequences for that meme. On the other hand, for people who do see it, downvotes may be interpreted positively.
