I find it comforting that you are writing about this here. In this post and in Hope Can = Heaven, I can relate to the feeling of extrapolating from some few point to the bigger picture.
I guess since you grew up Christian you were taught about right and wrong, and about sin, Jesus and Heaven and Hell. If you grew up in Hell—how do you know it is bad? Why would you want it to change? Wouldn’t it also be possible that billionaire that does better as a billionaire would also have done well if born into it?
If you have an inner knowledge about what would be better—doesn’t that imply that you have some kind idea what might be good for you, even without learning it? Some inner drive that lets you know what would be better?
Am curious about if you have any thoughts on that.
