One issue here: often we don’t just care about our own experiences, but also those of other people. Of course, if other people were just hallucinations in our head we probably wouldn’t care about them.

Regardless, since these hallucinations seem to act in lawful ways that determine what else happens in my experience, it doesn’t really matter much if they are “real” or not, and so long as reports of others experiences are causally intertwined with our experience we should care about them just the same.
