I happened to have a young child about to enter elementary school when I read that, and it crystalized my concern about rote memorization. I forced many fellow parents to read the essay as well.
I realize you mostly care about #1, but just for more data: #2 I’d probably put the Quantum Physics sequence, although that is a large number of posts, and the effect is hard to summarize in a few pages. For #3 I liked (within evolution) that we are adaptation-executers, not fitness-maximizers.
