Hm, seems like an obvious disincentive for speaking at ACX events if, on requesting no recording+transcript, someone writes up notes of what you said and publishes them on the web.
Depends on the notes? This is miles away from a transcript.
It also seems an obvious disincentive to do public speaking if you don’t want anything of what you say discussed publicly. But he did do it.
And yes this was public speaking to a specific community. But this is also a post on a forum of that specific community.
If you don’t want any notes to be published this post is a good incentive to make that explicit in the future or even retroactively.
