I think this post did a good job at establishing a 5-item taxonomy of problems in the betting market world that may be hindrances for prediction markets. This does two things; first, establish a straightforward checklist for possible creators of prediction market related apps, and second, hints at some sort of completeness in the sense that readers have to worry less about things not on the list.
Zvi’s personal experiences around betting seems essential here. There have been many more academic takes on prediction markets, but having more on-the-ground investigation is quite handy.
I’ve personally used this list as a thing to keep in mind while planning for future problems and features with Foretold. I think the lessons are less relevant to prediction tournaments than prediction markets, but are still good to think about.
