This seems to be more about value thresholds vs increasing marginal utility. Once you have 10 hours a day of free time, the 11th is not gonna be that much more valuable, if we measure how much stuff needs your attention every day by time it takes instead of by number of things you have to pay attention to.
It’s important to trust your spouse a lot but on a numerical level the point from 98 to 99 percent isn’t going to change what you do a lot.
having 100 lego pieces is probably more than 10 times as good as having 10 and maybe 1000 is times better but I don’t think 2000 is more than twice as good.
Getting immersed in a fictional world makes further fiction in that world more interesting, up until you’ve read enough that you start seeing repetition.
