Nevertheless, I’m worried that many commenters seem to have decided that this clip was strong evidence that Dawkins has “gone insane”. Don’t they have any sense of humor?
Also, for comparison, a video done by someone who probably is “insane” (or rather, depressed).
Seriously, though, we need to look into the use of the word sane/insane and get a proper convention going, because the way it is now it sounds like “insane” is “someone who follows thought patterns I don’t share”, rather than, say “someone who’s unsuitable for punishment by the judiciary because they can’t be held responsible for their actions because… they don’t have free will?”.
Actually the legal definition is even more confusing...
