I saw a video link from LW (I think it was from here) in which a man gave a TED-style talk arguing that artists should try to elevate pornography to a serious art form. Does anyone know the video I’m talking about? I’m pretty sure it wasn’t an actual TED talk, but it was structured similarly.
This idea seems odd to me. It’s not like it hasn’t been done before, it’s just that if people create highly sexually titillating works with serious artistic merit, people just don’t call it pornography.

Edit: Found it. It was a talk by Alain De Botton.

A Google for ‘tedx pornography art form’ suggests Cindy Gallop’s “Make Love Not Porn”.
This talk was given by a man. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t actually TED affiliated.
In my google searches I found that video among others, mainly about porn’s detrimental effects.
