I think this gets at the heart of the confusion I see in this post, specifically confusion around the work “best” is doing, although highlighting “should” works just as well. I’d argue there’s no fact of the matter about who should get more views, there’s just the question of who actually gets more views and whether view count correlates with personal judgments of quality.
