I did recently have an article of my own promoted which is less sophisticated, so I’m not complaining. I’m just wondering if people might be choosing to hold back out of fear that their less academic writing style is not good enough for main, and/or dressing it up more than need be.
I see what you’re saying with the last one, but I don’t think the middle one was over presented. The first one is a tricky case as the author was explicitly workshopping an academic piece in the making, and had good reason to use LW for that purpose.
I don’t mean that I object to it completely, but the type that seem a bit overrepresented are like these:
